ECOCERT is a control and certification body founded in France in 1991 by agronomists aware of the need to develop an environmentally friendly agriculture and offer recognition to those who engage in this mode of production.

ECOCERT has therefore specialized since its creation in the certification of products from organic farming. ECOCERT contributed to the development of organic farming in the 1990s by participating in the drafting of French and European regulations. Always very involved in the promotion of organic farming,
