9 STEPS TO CLEANER AND HEALTHIER SKIN

A natural glow is an important component and signal of healthy skin. However, factors such as lack of sleep, stress, age, and even what you eat can dull your complexion. Everthing affects everything. The good news is that you can easily turn dull, exhausted skin into luminous, radiant skin by following few simple steps.

Here are 9 tips to help you achieve the glowy skin of your dreams :

1) Reduce your stress levels by meditating :

Stress causes hormones to be produced that age us by destroying cells and making toxic byproducts and free radicals. Prayer and meditation have been shown in studies to minimize stress levels.

2) Make sure you're getting plenty of water.

It is a proven reality that 90% of people do not drink enough water. We need to drink 8-12 glasses of water every day for our skin cells to work appropriately and recover from cuts and other injuries. Our skin is one of our most essential organs as it protects us from illness, cushions our falls, and so on. It needs a large amount of water to stay hydrated and healthy.

3) Get enough rest and sleep.

Your skin is the first to show signs of not having the recommended 8-10 hours of sleep a day. Broken capillaries, puffiness, dark circles, and lines under the eyes are signs of aging that a good night's sleep can prevent.

4) Eat healthily.

Make sure you're eating well. Excessive consumption of junk foods can aggravate or cause skin problems such as pimples and acne. A well-balanced diet has been shown to help reduce skin issues and average out acne vulgaris outbreaks.

5) Supplement the skin and body with vitamins.

We can't always get 100% of each vitamin and mineral from the foods we consume, but we can take a multivitamin once a day to make up for it.  People who take multivitamins once a day live longer. It's an established reality, just as smoking takes years off your life.

6) Cleanse your skin thoroughly.

Harsh soaps can dry out your skin and even promote more sebum production, which can exacerbate acne. Use a gentle cleanser containing 2% salicylic acid. This method is very efficient in removing excess oils while still preserving adequate hydration and skin pH levels. Bacteria can be kept at bay by mild acidity.

7) Don't smoke. 

Smoking ages your skin and removes years from your life. Why would you want to do anything like that? If you must have nicotine, get nicotine gum or the patch, as they will help satisfy the cravings.

8) Protect your skin with sunscreen 

Sunlight aids in the production of vitamin D which is essential for normal bone formation. However, there is a drawback. The ultraviolet light from the sun can cause severe skin damage. This may cause the skin to burn and lose elasticity, resulting in premature aging.
